Job Description
This role is part of the Global Product Stewardship team, focusing on ensuring compliance with chemical legislation for Solenis products worldwide. The toxicology team handles global tasks, including data interpretation, safety assessments, and regulatory support for constituents and finished goods.
The Regulatory Specialist will primarily work on Indirect/Direct Food contact safety assessments, cosmetic safety assessments, and related toxicology activities, with potential expansion based on skills.
Skills/Qualifications
- Background in toxicology with basic understanding and demonstrated experience.
- Experience in similar regulatory/toxicology positions is a plus.
- Proficiency in deriving ADE (Acceptable Daily Exposure) and PDE (Permitted Daily Exposure) values for various exposure routes.
- Knowledge of food contact regulations, cosmetic risk assessment, and (eco)toxicology data review.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to interpret substance test data and perform end-user safety evaluations.
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities for global collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Indirect/Direct Food contact safety assessments and prepare food contact safety letters for customers.
- Derive ADE and PDE values across different exposure routes.
- Perform cosmetic risk assessments.
- Support (eco)toxicology data review for component and product classification.
- Maintain accurate records in defined formats.
- Contribute to broader toxicology tasks as needed.
