Roles and Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – QA, you will lead critical quality functions and contribute to operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:
- Review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), and Batch Packaging Records (BPRs)
- Manage deviations, Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Trend (OOT) investigations, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and thorough root cause analysis
- Oversee document lifecycle management while ensuring strict adherence to ALCOA+ principles for data integrity
- Conduct risk assessments, Annual Product Quality Reviews (APQR), line clearances, and provide manufacturing oversight
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in QA operations and ensure full regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory guidelines (including USFDA, CDSCO, and other global standards)
- Expertise in handling deviations, CAPA, OOS/OOT, and root cause investigation tools
- Proficiency in document management systems and data integrity practices (ALCOA+)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Qualification: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, MSc (Biotechnology/Chemistry), or equivalent
Salary and Benefits
The company offers a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and industry standards. For this mid-senior level QA role in Hyderabad, the expected salary range is ₹8–15 lakhs per annum (INR), depending on qualifications, current CTC, and negotiation.
