Jio Airtel BSNL New Rules 2025 All Details in Telugu : There have been important changes regarding telecom users in India. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has introduced new rules. These rules will be applicable to the users of major telecom companies like Jio, Airtel, Vodafone-Idea (Vi), BSNL. These changes have been made keeping in mind the SIM card validity, recharge requirements, and user convenience.
New SIM card validity rules
As per TRAI’s new rules, SIM cards will be valid for a certain period even without recharging. This will provide additional convenience to the users.
• Jio users : The SIM will remain active for 90 days without recharge. The availability of incoming calls during this period will depend on the last recharge plan. If recharge is not done after 90 days, the SIM will be completely deactivated.
• Airtel users : The SIM will remain active for 90 days without recharge. After that, there will be a grace period of 15 days. If recharge is not done during this time, the SIM will be deactivated.
• Vi users : SIM will remain active for 90 days without recharge. Thereafter, a minimum recharge of ₹49 is required.
• BSNL users : BSNL SIMs remain active for 180 days without recharge. This is suitable for those with low usage.
Importance of ₹20 recharge
As per the new rules, a minimum recharge of ₹20 is required to keep the SIM active. After 90 days, if the balance in the account is more than ₹20, ₹20 will be deducted every 30 days. This will continue till the balance is there. If the balance is less than ₹20, the SIM will be deactivated. If ₹20 is recharged within 15 days, the SIM will be reactivated.
Actions after SIM deactivation
Once the SIM is deactivated, take these steps to reactivate it:
• Contact your telecom operator’s customer care.
• Recharge at least ₹20.
• Later, the SIM will be reactivated.
New Plans and Services
Along with new rules, telecom companies are offering new plans and services to suit consumers.
• Jio : Special plans are available for free streaming of IPL cricket matches. With recharge plans of ₹299 or above, users can watch the matches on the JioHotstar platform. It is specially designed for the IPL season which will be held from March 22 to May 25.
• Airtel : Introduced special plans for calling only. These plans are valid for 365 days. These are especially suitable for users who make a lot of calls.
• BSNL : Plans with longer validity are available at lower prices. For example, you can get 4 months of validity with a ₹20 recharge.

• Review plans : Choose plans according to your usage. It is better to simply identify your calling or data needs and choose the appropriate plan.
• Remember the recharge time : To avoid SIM deactivation, remember the recharge time. Make use of the grace period and recharge on time.
