Eligibility Criteria

For JSA posts:

• 10+2/XIIth or equivalent.

• Proficiency in computer typing speed and computer use as per norms by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

For JST posts:

Age Limit and Relaxation Details (As on 17.06.2025)

• For JSA posts, the maximum age limit is 28 years.

• For JST posts, the maximum age limit is 27 years.

Relaxations:

Departmental candidates (CSIR employees):

• No age limit, provided they are regularly employed, possess required qualifications, and submit a Form X certificate.

Other government employees:

People with benchmark disabilities:

• General: Up to 10 years

• OBC: Up to 13 years

• SC/ST: Up to 15 years

Disabilities covered include blindness, low vision, deafness, locomotor issues, autism, mental illness, and multiple disabilities. Disability must be ≥40% with a valid certificate. Medical fitness as per government standards is mandatory.

Selection Process

The recruitment involves a Computer Based Test (CBT) and a qualifying typing test. The final selection depends on Paper II of the written test.

• CBT Test:

  • Paper I: Mental ability test with 100 questions, 200 marks, duration 90 minutes.

  • Paper II: General awareness and English language test, 50 questions each, 300 marks combined, 60 minutes, with -1 negative marking per wrong answer.
