The KVASU came into existence on 14th June, 2010, as per Ordinance number 44/2010 and later Act 3/2011 of the Government of Kerala. The University hence is the product of continuous and genuine pursuit and sustained dream of many a people, who initiated the efforts since the mid-nineties. The establishment is also the result of the recognition of the need to advance animal production sector activities and to widen the arena of academic opportunities, applied research and entrepreneurship in the field of animal health, production and allied subjects.

A walk-in-interview will be held as per the schedule shown in the table below, for the temporary engagement of following posts on contract basis for a maximum period of one year as prescribed in the terms of appointment against each posts at Karshakamithra Medical Store at UVH, Kokkalai.
Basic Qualification : 1. Diploma in Pharmacy (D-pharm) or its equivalent.
2. Registration with Kerala

Contract Pay : Maximum of Rs.25,750/- per month
Terms and conditions
1. No TA/DA will be paid to the applicants for appearing for the interview.
2. The appointments will be purely time-bound (On daily wage basis as and when required) for a maximum period of one year and the selected candidates shall execute an agreement in stamp paper with the undersigned. The rank list is valid till 30.09.2027.
3. Recruitment will be in accordance with G.O (P) No.54/2025/Fin Dtd: 19.04.2025 & University circular KVASU/GA/A4/6162/2025(3) dated: 18.04.2026.
4. Non-maintenance of the discipline or failure to perform the duties assigned will make the employee liable for immediate termination. The incumbent may also leave the assignment, on their own volition, by giving one month’s notice.
5. The incumbent will not have any claim for regular appointment under KVASU or any other Government institutions/departments.
6. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification of the candidature or termination even alter appointment.
7. Selection procedure & shortlisting will be decided by the selection committee based on the number of applicants.
8. Reservation will be followed as per Government Rules.
9. The selected incumbent has to submit a bond to the Professor & Head, agreeing that he/she will not claim for any “permanency of appointment” in the University/Government based on this“Contractual appointment”.
10. The selected incumbent shall be required to perform clinical/hospital duties in the UVH, Kokkalai as assigned by the competent authority from time to time. Such duties may be scheduled during the day, evening or night shi fts, d pending on the operational requirements of the hospital.
Eligible candidates possessing the required qualifications shall report at University Veterinary Hospital, Kokkalai as per the time schedule given below. Candidates should bring originals of all certificates and testimonials for proving identity, age, community/caste, qualifications, experience, pharmacy registration certificate etc. with one set of self-attested photocopies of all their certificates/documents alongwith biodata.
