Department: Toxicology / Pathology Lab
Designation: GLP – Histopathology / Toxicology Role
Qualification: Professional degree in relevant field (Life Sciences/Pharma/Veterinary Science)
Key skill or job description:
- Anesthesia and euthanasia of laboratory animals as per SOP
- Blood collection and preparation of blood smears
- Necropsy and organ collection (rat, mice, rabbit, guinea pig)
- Tissue processing, trimming, embedding (block making), and sectioning
- Slide staining and mounting as per study plan
- Preparation of fixatives and surgical instruments
- Handling and labeling of samples, reagents, and equipment
- Maintenance of histopathology instruments and calibration schedules
- Documentation, logbooks, and GLP compliance
- Archiving of wet and dry materials
- Biochemistry, Hematology, Coagulation & Urine analysis
- Preparation and evaluation of blood and bone marrow smears
- Reticulocyte count and differential leukocyte count
- Maintaining accurate GLP-compliant records
