Good News: Free RTC bus passes are being given to students from 1st to 10th class in AP: Apply immediately.

The Andhra Pradesh government has come up with an innovative idea. In order to reduce the travel expenses of students studying from first class to tenth class in Andhra Pradesh, it has taken a good decision to provide free bus passes through APSRTC to go to school. Applications are invited for providing free bus passes to students studying from first class to tenth class in government and government recognized private schools in Andhra Pradesh. Students can get bus passes either online or by going to the direct bus depot. Through this, their travel expenses will be reduced by 100%.

When did the distribution of free bus passes start?

APSRTC has made arrangements to provide free bus passes to school going students from June 13th, on the occasion of the commencement of the academic year from June 12, 2025. Students will have to register their travel details on the official APSRTC website https://buspassonline.apsrtconline.in/ .

Documents required to get a bus pass?:

1. Student’s Aadhaar card
2. Passport size photograph of the student
3. School Headmaster Certificate
4. An application form signed by the principal from the school headmaster to obtain bus passes.

Where is the bus pass available?:

School students going to schools in Andhra Pradesh should contact the Bus Pass Counter for free bus passes. APSRTC staff has made all the arrangements at the schools.

How are bus passes given to inter and degree students?:

There are no free bus passes for intermediate and degree students. However, they are given bus passes for three months, six months, or a year at subsidized rates. They also have to register on the website first.

Important instructions:

• Those who already have a bus should either renew it or get a new one.
• Only one free pass will be granted to each student.
• APSRTC officials will grant the appropriate bus pass depending on the distance the student is traveling.
