The coalition government is ready to implement another new scheme in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The state, which has launched various programs giving priority to education in the state, will implement another scheme named NTR Vidya Sankalpam .

As part of the NTR Vidya Sankalpa scheme , this scheme was designed to provide loans at very low interest rates to women in self-help groups who have children who are studying.

🔥 What is NTR Vidya Sankalpam Scheme? :

  • The state government will provide loans at an interest rate of four percent to women in self-help groups in the state who have children who are studying and who can continue their education properly.
  • The Sector for Eradication of Rural Poverty (SERP) is the nodal department for the NTR Vidya Sankalpa scheme.

🔥 Why is the NTR Vidya Sankalpa scheme being implemented?

  • This scheme was designed to provide reassurance to parents by providing regular loans to them to ensure that their children’s education is not a financial burden, but rather to prevent them from taking loans from private institutions and individuals at high interest rates and getting into debt.

🔥 How to benefit from the NTR Vidya Sankalpa scheme:

  • Through this scheme, loans ranging from ten thousand rupees to one lakh rupees will be provided to women belonging to Dwakra associations at an interest rate of four percent, i.e. 35 paise.
  • The NTR Vidya Sankalpa scheme will be implemented in conjunction with the Women’s Fund scheme already implemented by the SERP Department.
  • The uniqueness of this scheme is that while loans are sanctioned at an interest rate of 11 percent through the Stree Nidhi scheme , loans are sanctioned at an interest rate of four percent through the NTR Vidya Sankalpa.

🔥 NTR Vidya Sankalpam Scheme’s procedures:

  • The officials have sent proposals to the state government for the implementation of this scheme. This scheme will be launched by the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu in a few days.
  • The guidelines regarding this scheme are as follows.
  • Women in Dwakra communities are eligible to register for this scheme if they have children who are studying.
  • Students must be studying between first grade and post-graduation.
  • Students are eligible for this scheme regardless of where they study in government, private schools, or college.
  • This scheme, which is being implemented in connection with the Women’s Fund program, provides loans ranging from ten thousand rupees to one lakh rupees. The interest rate is only four percent.
  • The loan must be repaid in installments over a minimum of 24 months and a maximum of 36 months.
  • The loan taken should be spent only on the educational expenses of the students such as uniforms, books, fee payments and other educational related items. Appropriate receipts for this should also be given to the authorities.
  • This scheme also provides an opportunity to purchase bicycles for students for transportation purposes.
