Charter of Demands of postal GDS Employees
1.Extend monthly pension to GDS under the Unified Pension Scheme (NPS or equivalent).
2.Grant 8-hour duty to all GDS with higher TRCA, pay scale, and full service benefits.
3.Appointment of 8th CPC-Inclusion of GDS Issues in the Terms of Reference of the Commission.
4.Scrap Independent Delivery Centres (IDCs); if implemented, GDS must be absorbed with full benefits.
5.Implement without delay all positive recommendations of the Kamalesh Chandra Committee, including:
- a) Rational fixation of TRCA from 01.01.2016, equal to regular employees
- b) Grant of time-bound financial upgradation (MACP) at par with departmental staff after 12, 24, and 36 years, to be counted for all purposes including TRCA/Pay, DA, Bonus, etc. c) Enhance Group Insurance cover to 5 lakhs.
- d) Remove the existing 1.5 lakh cap on GDS gratuity.
