Free Sewing Machine : The Andhra Pradesh government is introducing special schemes to provide self-employment opportunities to women. Through this scheme, women who complete this training will be provided with sewing machines worth Rs. 24,000 free of cost. These schemes will help women from BC and EBC communities in achieving financial self-reliance.
The Andhra Pradesh government will provide free tailoring services to women as part of its BC welfare schemes. Through this scheme, the government has come forward with the aim of providing tailoring skills to women belonging to BC and EBC communities along with financial self-reliance. Tailoring training
As part of this scheme, the BC Welfare Department will provide tailoring training to 80,000 women. Plans have been made to conduct four-hour training classes per day for 90 days. Women who complete this training will be given free tailoring worth Rs. 24,000. An agreement has been signed with a skill development organization to conduct the training programs.
Financial assistance
Along with this scheme, the government is implementing various policies to provide self-employment opportunities to women and youth. Special training programs are being organized in sectors like setting up generic medicine shops, poultry units, food processing etc. For setting up shops, financial assistance of up to Rs. 8 lakhs will be provided.
Skill development priority
The government is planning to provide training to 10,000 youth in various sectors from January. Training programs are being conducted in sectors like medical stores and food processing. Through this training, the government is helping the youth to get sustainable employment opportunities.

The state government is striving to create an entrepreneur from every household. These schemes have been designed to not only help BC and EBC women and youth grow economically, but also to impact the state’s economy.
