Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a listed Public Sector Undertaking and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has witnessed remarkable growth since its inception, scaling up to 140.50 MT of coal production during FY 2025-26. In line with the national skill development initiative,
NCL invites online applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Interns under Round 3 of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) for unfulfilled vacancies across technical and non-technical disciplines.

Duration of Training
The duration of the internship training under PMIS shall be 9 months from the date of engagement. Under no circumstances shall this engagement lead to any claim for regular employment in NCL or Coal India Limited.

1. Eligibility regarding qualification and age limit will be assessed with respect to 01st April 2026, unless specified otherwise.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification: Applying candidates must have completed and passed the prescribed qualifying Degree/Diploma from a recognized Institute/University functional as of the crucial date.
Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years as on the crucial date.
How to Apply
• Candidates must apply exclusively online through the centralized PMIS portal: www.pminternship.mca.gov.in.
• No paper-based or hard-copy applications will be accepted.
• Applicants must ensure they have a valid email ID, mobile number, and Aadhaar-linked bank account before completing the online registration on the PMIS portal.
Method of Selection
1. Merit lists will be prepared by arranging aggregate percentage scores of qualifying examinations (Degree/Diploma) in descending order for each discipline.
2. Tie-breaking Criteria:
o Candidates older in age (earlier Date of Birth) will be preferred, o If a tie persists, candidates whose names appear first alphabetically in English (Roman script) will be preferred.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for document verification via the PMIS portal and NCL official website.
Social Security & Medical Benefits
• Social Security: No deduction for social security benefits will be made. Stipend will be credited directly to the intern’s Aadhaar-linked bank account.
• Medical Benefits: Candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate in the prescribed format from a Government Medical Officer before joining. No additional medical benefits will be provided by NCL.
General Terms & Conditions
1. No TA/DA will be paid for attending document scrutiny or joining formalities.
2. Interns will not be absorbed into regular service of NCL or CIL under any circumstances.
3. Interns must make their own arrangements for accommodation, food, and transport during the training period.
4. Leave entitlements will be governed as per the applicable PMIS guidelines.
5. Suppression of facts or submission of false certificates will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
