Job Description
Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals) is conducting an apprenticeship drive to onboard fresh chemical engineering graduates for a structured 12-month program at its Ambernath facility. This apprenticeship offers hands-on exposure to chemical plant operations, process support, troubleshooting, and compliance in a world-class manufacturing environment.
Chemical Engineering Apprentice
- Department: Plant Operations / Chemical Engineering
- Role: Apprentice
- Experience: Fresher
- Education/Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech (Chemical Engineering)
- Duration: 12 months
Skills/Qualifications
- Knowledge of troubleshooting pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, steam/vacuum systems, and control valves
- Understanding of unit operations including distillation, evaporation, drying, flaking, batch reactors, and continuous plants
- Proactive approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work in shift operations
- Commitment to safety, GMP compliance, housekeeping, and 5S standards
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily plant operations and process activities
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process deviations
- Participate in optimization studies and improvement initiatives
- Prepare and review SOPs and work instructions
- Ensure adherence to safety rules, PPE usage, and permit systems
- Contribute to audits, risk assessments, and housekeeping standards
- Maintain GMP compliance and 5S practices
