State Bank of India , a public sector bank headquartered in Mumbai, invites applications through online mode for the recruitment of Probationary Officer (PO) posts.
A total of 600 jobs will be filled across the country.

- SC – 87
- ST – 57
- OBC – 158

🔥 Educational Qualification :Â
- Candidates should have passed a degree from any recognized university or have equivalent qualification.
- Candidates who are currently studying in their final year/final semester can also apply. However, they must have a degree passing certificate by the time of interview.
- The cut-off date for determining educational eligibility has been set at 30/04/2025.
🔥 Age :
- Eligible candidates must be 21 years of age and below 30 years of age.
- There is an age relaxation of 5 years for SC and ST.
- There is a relaxation of three years for OBC (Non-Border Caste) candidates.
- 10 years for PWBD
- Â Ex-servicemen have an age relaxation of 5 years.
- The cut-off date for age verification has been set at 01/04/2024.
🔥Application Procedure :
- Candidates must apply online through the official website.
🔥 Application fee:
- General, EWS, OBC candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 750.
- SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen candidates do not need to pay any application fee.
🔥 Selection process:
- There are 3 stages for the selection of candidates.
- Candidates will be selected through an online test (preliminary & mains), psychometric test, group exercise, and personal interview.Â
 🔥 Online Exam Procedure :
- In the preliminary, for a total of 100 marks, 100 questions will be given, these will be multiple choice questions, which will include questions from the subjects Reasoning (30 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (30 questions), and English (40 questions). The time limit will be 60 minutes, section-wise (20 minutes for each section), and the marks and questions will be determined.
- There is no sectional cutoff in the preliminary exam. Selection from the prelims exam to the mains will be made in the ratio of 1:10.
- The mains exam will have 170 questions for 200 marks. There will be questions from General Awareness/Economy/Banking Knowledge, General English, Data Analysis & Interpretation, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude.
- Descriptive paper (email, reports, situation analysis, precise writing) is allocated for 50 marks.
- There is a negative marking system of ¼ for each incorrect answer.
🔥 Exam Centers :Â
- Many prominent cities in the country as well as in the Telugu states have been selected as testing centers.
- Andhra Pradesh: Chittoor, Eluru, Guntur/Vijayawada, Kadapa, Kakinada, Kurnool, Nellore, Ongole, Rajahmundry, Srikakulam, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram centers have been selected.
- Telangana: Hyderabad, Khammam, Warangal, and Karimnagar centers have been selected.
🔥 Salary :Â
- The basic pay for the candidates is 48,480/- at the initial stage.
- Salary: Rs 18.67 lakh per annum (based in Mumbai)
🔥 Probation Period:Â
- Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years.
🔥 Service Bond :
- Selected candidates will have to submit a bond of Rs 2 lakhs to serve in the bank for 3 years.

- The preliminary written examination will be conducted in March 2025.
- The mains written exam will be conducted in April/May 2025.
