Job Overview
iFluids Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Process Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing detailed engineering designs for oil and gas facilities, performing process simulations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will utilize industry-standard software like Aspen HYSYS, PIPENET, and FLARENET to optimize operations and contribute to our projects across the energy sector.
Process Design Engineer Position
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive process designs and engineering solutions for Oil & Gas facilities and petrochemical plants.
- Perform detailed process simulations and engineering calculations, including hydraulic and thermal analyses.
- Prepare essential project documentation: PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), mass balances, and process datasheets.
- Conduct equipment sizing (pumps, vessels) and hydraulic/line sizing analyses.
- Review vendor documents and ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and industry standards (e.g., ASME codes).
- Perform specialized engineering analyses such as surge analysis (using PIPENET software).
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and stay updated with the latest software, standards, and best practices in the field.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: B.E or M.E in Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 1–3 years of proven work experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, specifically in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and Detailed Engineering.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with process simulation software, including:
- Aspen HYSYS
- PIPENET
- FLARENET
Technical Skills: Experience in SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) preparation, equipment sizing, and process optimization techniques.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and documentation skills are essential for this role.
